Potamus goes to Westminster!
We had a wonderful time taking him to the city, and seeing all of the hustling and bustling. My sister from Florida came in to town just to make the trip with us, and we made it into a mini vacation!

Rally News:
As a warm up for Westminster, I took Potamus to his first Rally trial.
He did OUTSTANDING! He had two qualifying scores and now only needs to earn one more to have his Rally Novice title. We hope to enter him soon, and get that title too!

Potamus recieves an invitation to the Eukanuba Invitational in Long Beach, Ca.
He qualified under two different criterion: Championed entirely out of the Bred By Exhibitor category; and Ranking in the Top 20 of his Breed!!

Another MONUMENTAL win for us !
Owenspride Bred dogs continue to impress at the annual Mastiff supported entry shows
of Bucks Co. and Trenton Kennel Clubs.
These shows are such favorites of ours that we have added a page just for them. Please see the "Bucks /Trenton" bone above, to see how our dogs fare under Breed specialists from abroad.
TYPE and structure, united!!
Located in a small seaside town on Cape Cod, we are home to four fantastic mastiffs; one schnauzerific miniature schnauzer (Seri ,aka "Pikachu"); and five fabulous ( indoor) felines.
On December 6, 2007 we lost our "Owen" , after having had 11 years with him by our side.
It is in Owen's memory that we picked the name "Owenspride", for the dogs we have bred to carry with them.
My husband, Ron, and I have been students of the breed for 15 years; two years prior to our purchase of Owen (CH. Brookside's Worth the Weight CGC). We recently produced our first litter; having spent the last 10 years developing an understanding of the Standard as well as forging relationships and mentorships with people who are ardent and knowledgable fanciers and producers of great mastiffs.
Our dogs live in the home with us; sleep in the bedroom if not the bed with us ( not in crates, except for housetraining the puppies of course!); they are with us in the yard while we garden and tend to the koi pond; they enjoy long walks in Nickerson State Park and on the beaches when it isn't tourist season. They receive excellent veterinary care both at the clinic where I am a technician, and at various referral and emergency hospitals as needed. No expense is ever spared for any of our animals' health needs.
We enjoy showing our dogs in conformation and Rally; and I aspire to show them in regular Obedience as well. We love laying around the house, loving them. We enjoy everything about them! Yes, even the drool.....ESPECIALLY the drool.
