Better Weight than Never aka "Potamus" D.O.B. 4/25/08 (Ch. Brookside's Worth the Weight CGC X Ch. Sherwood's Anticipatience RE CGC) Potamus is everything a MASTIFF should be. He is one of the most perfectly balanced mastiffs I've ever seen; and I can't believe my luck at having produced him in my first attempt at breeding a litter! His angulation fore and aft is textbook. Many mastiffs have straight stifles or bizarre looking rears; but Potamus has lovely angulation and again, balance. He has a topline that has been lovely all along and NEVER was butt high! Very rare. He takes my breath away when I watch him, just being his amazing self. He has a silly side too; and a guardian side as well. He gives very gentle face lickies and loves children, babies, and all people he meets. He is a mix of Owen and Patience's personalities; he has some of Owen's "observer" traits ; warmed by Patience's "sugar". |

January 2012 ; Potamus gets his third leg in Rally, and now has his RN as well as his Ch. "A truly balanced dog has a title at BOTH ends!" * Nationally Ranked for six months during 2010. ( utterly amazing, with only a handful of B.O.B.'s!!) Recieved an invitation to the 2010 Eukanuba Invitational !! Bucks and Trenton 2010 Potamus took back to back five point majors, became a new Ch., and took his first B.O.B win all in one weekend! And not just any weekend; he did so at the MASTIFF NIRVANA which is the Bucks/ Trenton weekend in May!! This is a huge supported entry with over 100 mastiffs present each day; and it is judged by very prestigious breeder judges from overseas; who are experts in True Mastiff Type.  As close to perfection as you can get....:)  Every time we've stepped into the ring with Potamus; he has impressed the judge and been
in the ribbons!! . You will see that the only time that he did not place at LEAST first as a class dog, was his Fourth place win under the extremely highly regarded European judge Mr. Bas Bosch; on a day when the mastiff entry was well over 100! A fourth place in any of the classes on such a day is an extreme honor and one which we will always treasure!
